2nd Call for Proposals

SOS Malta, designated as Fund Operator for the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 Malta NGO Programme launches the 2nd Call for Proposals

The objective of the EEA Grants Malta NGO programme is to“strengthen civil society development and enhance its contribution to social justice, democracy and sustainable development in Malta.”

The 2nd Call for Proposals will have 2 Priority Axes:

Priority Axis 1

Strengthening civil society through the development and consolidation of NGO Networks and platforms and the improvement of their advocacy and representation activities.

Priority Axis 2

Social and Human Rights Projects including the following thematic areas: human rights and anti-discrimination, in particular issues related to migration (racism and xenophobia) hate speech; addressing gender equality; tackling social inequality, poverty and exclusion, in particular for at risk young people, people living with disability and those suffering from domestic violence.

Environment and climate change related projects focusing on the specific needs of Malta.

Who is eligible to apply?

Non-governmental organisations established and registered in the Republic of Malta. All applicants must be registered Voluntary Organisations with the VO Commissioner’s Office.

The deadline for submission of the Second Call for Proposals is 30th May 2014.

Information sessions and one to one meetings to assist applicants will be held at SOS Malta offices. Kindly refer to website for dates and registration.
