The launch of the Autism Friendly Spaces project will give an overview of this Erasmus+ KA2 funded project. The speakers will go into the needs-analysis carried out for the creation of the project and its important pillars; online modules, criteria for the creation of autism friendly establishments and the setting-up of a youth hub. It will also feature a panel discussion focusing on autism in Malta and will showcase the process that key establishments around Malta undertook to become autism friendly. The aim of this event is to share the educational content that has been created as part of this project for educators and service providers and to raise more awareness on the importance of having establishments that are sensory accessible. Hon Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli will also be awarding the establishments participating in this pilot project with their accreditation as autism friendly spaces.
