“Modern Art” Philately @ Il-Ħaġar
In parallel with the exceptional retrospective of Carmelo Mangion artworks at Il-Ħaġar, the Gozo Philatelic Society has changed the display in its showcase on level -1 at the museum.
This now holds an assortment of “modern” or contemporary paintings featured on stamps issued by various countries, including Malta and Cuba, to mention two completely different ones.
They can be viewed till the beginning of September, when it is planned to offer others. This cultural centre on Victoria’s Pjazza San Ġorġ opens from 9am to 5pm seven days a week – without any entrance fee.

Is-Soċjetà Filatelika t’Għawdex ramat wirja ġdida fil-vetrina li għandha fil-livell -1 fil-mużew Il-Ħaġar fi Pjazza San Ġorġ (ir-Rabat).
Peress li dan iċ-ċentru kulturali issa għandu retrospettiva qawwija ta’ Carmelo Mangion, inħass li jkun xieraq li tintwera taħlita ta’ bolli minn bosta pajjiżi b’eżempji ta’ pittura moderna jew kontemporanja.
Jistgħu jinżaru sal-bidu ta’ Settembru, meta hu ppjanat li jintwerew oħrajn. Il-ħinijiet tad-dħul – bla ħlas – jibqgħu mid-9am sal-5pm sebat ijiem fil-ġimgħa.
