Free Training in VO Management – Advanced

We are collaborating with Antonello Gauci to deliver training in Voluntary Organisation Management – advanced. This training is targeted at established, medium to large VOs. It is ideal for leaders, board members, or key staff within VOs who are looking to strengthen their strategic direction and operational capacity, and plan for long-term impact. In this training you will gain understanding of capacity building and strategic planning tailored to the VO sector.

Course details:

Methodology: 

The training will be interactive and hands-on, incorporating:

  • Group discussions and peer learning
  • Case studies from successful VOs
  • Practical, real-time feedback
  • Strategic planning exercises adapted to each participant’s organisational context

Topics covered:

  • Understanding the social value of VOs and the distinct challenges they face
  • Roles and responsibilities including ethical leadership, effective decision-making
  • Capacity Building fundamentals – reviewing key areas such as governance, finance, operations, and human resources, and learning how to assess and improve them using practical tools
  • Developing actionable, measurable strategic plans that guide growth and align with organisational goals.
  • Methodologies to measure impact and for self-evaluation
  • Growth and sustainability planning including managing change effectively.

  • The deadline to submit your registration is 12pm on Monday 8th June, 2026.
  • Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers, however each participant is to submit their individual registration form with their personal details. Each training session will have an intake of a maximum of 40 participants, so we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure their spot.
