The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector is collaborating with Jo Caruana from Finesse Group to deliver training in Communications, Messaging and Writing. This session is for you if you want to hone your written communications skills in support of your VO’s messaging. Details regarding the course and how to apply are supplied below.

Training content:

The goal of this course is to teach participants about various writing techniques tailored to different audiences, and to provide an opportunity for hands-on writing exercises to strengthen communication skills.

It will include: 
– Adapting writing styles to match your audience: from donors to the public  
– Understanding tone and voice for formal and informal contexts
– Writing effective press releases, social posts, and newsletters
– Group and individual practice exercises focused on improving written communication

Session Time: 5:30pm – 8:00pm
Location: Valletta Volunteer Centre (upstairs hall), 181 Melita Street

• The deadline to register is 12pm on Thursday the 30th April, 2026.
• Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers, however each participant is to submit their individual registration form with their personal details. Each training session will have an intake of a maximum of 20 participants, so we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure their spot.
