Following the appointment of Hon. Beppe Galea as Shadow Minister for the Voluntary Sector, Gertrude Buttigieg, Chairperson of MCVS, attended an introductory meeting with him together with a delegation from the Council.

Dr Buttigieg was accompanied by Mr Jorge Spiteri, Deputy Chairperson; Mr Leslie Bonnici; Mr Frank Muscat; Mr Paul Mifsud; and MCVS CEO Mr Mauro Pace Parascandalo. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss MCVS’s past work and achievements, future plans for the voluntary sector, the pending amendments to the Voluntary Organisations Act, and the implementation of the VO Strategy 2025–2030.
