The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector had the pleasure of welcoming Ms Sandra Gauci, Chairperson of ADPD, for a cordial meeting. This occasion marked the first ever meeting between the Council and representatives from ADPD.
During the meeting, the Council provided a comprehensive overview of its establishment and outlined its role and responsibilities as set forth in the Voluntary Organisations Act. Attention was given to the Council’s work over recent years, with a special emphasis on the initiatives and achievements realised in the past three years. This discussion served as a foundation for an open exchange regarding topics of significance to the voluntary sector.
Ms Gauci expressed her appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Council. She further highlighted the valuable contribution made by the voluntary sector to Maltese society, underscoring its importance and impact. Ms Buttigieg presented Ms Gauci with a copy of the National Volunteering Strategy 2025-2030, together with the Electoral Proposals submitted on behalf of the sector.
