This will be administered by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector. 19 Local Councils and about 900 voluntary organisations will be eligible for new funds amounting to €800,000. Until today VOs and Local Councils at these localities did not qualify for European Union funds under the LEADER Programme.
Localities that will benefit from this scheme are: Birkirkara, Bormla, Ħal Tarxien, il-Belt Valletta, il-Birgu, il-Fgura, il-Furjana, il-Ħamrun, l-Imsida, l-Isla, il-Marsa, Paola, Pembroke, San Ġiljan, San Ġwann, Santa Venera, Tal-Pietà, Tas-Sliema u Ta’ Xbiex.
MCVS would like to thank SEM – Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta and the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector for their collaboration in making this scheme possible.
