Qalb is-Servizz: The Heart of the Public Service

This International Volunteer Day, public service employees across Malta and Gozo will step beyond their desks and into the community through Qalb is-Servizz, a national volunteering initiative that unites the passion of public service with the power of giving back.

For one day, teams from across the public service will lend a helping hand to Voluntary Organisations, supporting those who make a difference every single day.

Because service isn’t just what we do… it’s who we are. 

As part of Qalb is-Servizz, we’re inviting Voluntary Organisations across Malta and Gozo to tell us whether they need any help from  public service volunteers on this International Volunteer Day.

The event will take place on Friday, 5 December 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During this time, public service employees will visit your organisation, offering practical, hands-on assistance as part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
