Request for Service: Monitoring & Support Practitioners

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) is seeking the services of four Monitoring & Support Practitioners to support the 2026 SPACE Gardening Programme, delivered as part of the EU-funded SPACE Project on Green Social Prescribing (GSP). The programme explores how nature-based volunteering can support the wellbeing and rehabilitation of people living with cancer.

The SPACE Gardening Programme will run in two phases between February and October 2026 and will engage up to 30 volunteers living with cancer in light gardening activities across two garden sites in Floriana. A multidisciplinary team including a Programme Healthcare Practitioner, Garden Staff, a Logistics & Data Coordinator, and the Monitoring & Support Team, will support volunteers throughout the programme.

MCVS is inviting applications from individuals with experience in healthcare, social care, community-based programmes, psychosocial support, or wellbeing initiatives, including experience working with persons living with cancer. Medical qualifications are preferred but not essential.

The Monitoring & Support Practitioners will play a central role in volunteer engagement and wellbeing, facilitating connection segments during sessions, supporting physical and emotional safety, coordinating communication with volunteers, assisting with participant evaluations, collecting programme data, and contributing to session reporting and dissemination activities.

Interested applicants are invited to review the Request for Services documentation linked HERE for full role specifications, deliverables, timelines, and payment details.

The submission deadline is Thursday 8th January 2026, not later than midnight.
