Free Training on VO Management – basics

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector is collaborating with Laura Sue Armeni to deliver training in Voluntary Organisation Management [basics]. This training will offer you an introduction to the foundations of VO management and strategic planning. It is designed for small and medium-sized voluntary organisations seeking to formalise their structures, strengthen governance, and chart sustainable growth. Methodology:

  • The training will be interactive and hands-on, incorporating:
  • Group discussions and peer learning
  • Case studies from successful VOs
  • Practical workshops and real-time feedback
  • Planning relevant to each participant’s organisational context
  • Topics covered:
  • An overall introduction to capacity building and strategic planning
  • Mission and vision alignment
  • Understanding governance responsibilities
  • Stakeholder analysis
  • How to conduct SWOT/PESTLE analyses, set objectives, and design strategies
  • Hands on development of a draft strategic plan for your organisation

Dates: Full day workshop – Saturday 3rd October
Time: 8:30am to 4:00pm [lunch included]
Location: This session will be held at Paola Volunteer Centre – Jake Vella, Triq Il Belt Valletta, Raħal Ġdid

  • Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of two volunteers, and each participant is to submit their own registration form with their personal details. In case you wish to apply for additional member from your VO, please send us a request by email. This training session will have an intake of a maximum of 40 participants, so we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure their spot.
