Volunteering in Focus is a national photographic competition organised by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector in celebration of the 2026 International Year of Volunteering. Through the power of photography, the competition seeks to highlight the diverse ways in which volunteering strengthens communities, supports vulnerable groups, and fosters solidarity across Malta and Gozo.

Participants are invited to capture authentic moments that reflect the spirit, impact, and human connections at the heart of voluntary action. Open to photographers of all levels, from members of established Photographic Organisations, freelance photographers as well as the general public, Volunteering in Focus encourages creative interpretation while promoting awareness, appreciation, and recognition of the vital role volunteers play in building a more inclusive and resilient future.
