Workshop for youth volunteers on building emotional intelligence

J.O.Y.S (Journey of Youth Self-Development) is a self-development programme that equips youth volunteers (aged 16 – 30) with essential life and leadership skills, while also encouraging them to apply these skills by designing and delivering meaningful projects within their communities. This initiative is designed specifically for youths involved in voluntary work across Malta and Gozo.

Participants will:

·         Attend interactive workshops focused on personal growth, communication, leadership, and more
·         Receive guidance and mentorship from trained professionals
·         Collaborate with other young people from different organisations
·         Create and implement their own community-based projects
·         Develop friendships and networks within the voluntary sector

As part of the programme, every organisation’s youths will be allocated a dedicated amount of funds to design and implement a project within their organisation that benefits the wider community. To implement a project and benefit from the funding, youths must attend at least 3 out of 4 sessions between October and January, and all sessions between February and April, as the final three sessions will be directly related to project implementation.

Participation is limited to only 20 youths per session on a first come first served basis. Please find the details of the first session below:
