Research on Volunteers and Volunteering in Malta

The Malta Councilfor the Volunteer Sector will this year be embarking on a research study on Volunteers and Voluteering in Malta. For this purpose the Council has issued a call for the Provision of Research on Volunteers and Volunteering in Malta:

The Qualitative and Quantitative Research Study on Volunteers and Voluntary Organisations in Malta should address and evaluate the following issues:

Social Impact

  • Number of VO’s enrolled with the Commissioner for VOs
  • Number of VO’s not-enrolled with the Commissioner for VOs
  • Areas of Operation by the Sector
  • Number of Volunteers in each Sector
  • Number of paid Staff in each Sector

Financial Impact

  • Salary costs for paid staff
  • Collection from public/fundraising
  • Up take of Public Funds
  • Uptake of EU Funds
  • Generation of funds through own operation

General Public

  • Participation including number persons and average number of hours per person
  • Financial contribution
