Public Lecture – The Foundation for Innovation and Research – Malta

22 Mar 2023 - 17:30

Malta has the highest solar irradiance of all EU Member States, with 1,829kWh/sqm per year; but only 9.6% of its electricity is supplied by PV power.

The Foundation for Innovation and Research – Malta (FiR.mt) is inviting you to explore PV potential in a lecture “Status of Solar PV Competitiveness in Europe and the Impact of Performance and Reliability”, presented by Philippe Mace from Becquerel Institute, Belgium followed by questions and answers session.

The lecture is one of events organised as part of PROMISE research and innovation project, funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe.

PROMISE aims to sustain the scientific, engineering and research performance and innovation capacity of the Maltese Community on solar photovoltaics to prepare for the potential penetration increase of PV in Malta and to support the energy transition.

This event is hosted by The Chamber of Engineers and in collaboration with The Malta Group of Professional Engineering Institutions (MGPEI).
