The Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club is a multi-sport organisation registered with the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, the Malta Cycling Federation, the Malta Amateur Athletic Association, the Malta Triathlon Federation and the Inter Amateur Soccer Competition.  Besides competing in the events organised by the mentioned national federations, Birkirkara St. Joseph organises the following annual sports events:  A sprint triathlon series of four races, a 5K Road Running Series of three races, the national open water swimming championships consisting of six races, the Malta-Gozo-Malta Open Water Swimming Competition, the Gozo-Malta Open Water Swimming Competition, the Malta International Challenge Marathon, the international Ocean Lava Middle Distance Triathlon, the Fleur-de-Lys 10K Road Running Race, the Fleur-de-Lys 5K Road Running Race, and the cycling Arch Criterium.  Birkirkara St. Joseph assists various organisations and local council in the organisation of their sports events.
