Ċinerabilja is a non-profit voluntary organisation based in Malta that aims to bring the public closer to film through a series of artistic events and screenings. The audience becomes a partner in a shared film experience, as they immerse themselves in a world that combines cinema, local heritage and community. Our approach to cinema is to recreate the atmosphere and environment on which a movie is based through multiple art forms such as visual art, theatre, poetry, dance and music, as well as sensory experiences. A series of events will be organised by the Ċinerabilja team that will see a high-quality programme of screenings which will transport our audience to various locations around Malta and Gozo and allow them to appreciate film through a unique experience.
