– Establishing and maintaining a network of individuals involved in D&T education;
– Increasing awareness and promoting D&T as a study area which gives the capability of solving real-life problems through design-and-make activities;
– Discussing and advocating common views and opinions as regards the teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment and provisions for D&T;
– Exchanging ideas, resources and skills amongst its members for continuous professional development;
– Supporting and publicising work of excellence in the subject;
– Creating and facilitating collaborative projects with educational entities, and third parties outside the sphere of education;
– Disseminating local research related to D&T education.
