Greenhouse Malta (GH) is an Interdisciplinary, nonprofit and voluntary research organisation that applies holistic and creative methods in its undertaking to safeguard the Maltese environment. In this context, the activities of GH rest on three pillars: research, communication and policy reform.
Through scientific research, engaging citizen scientists and developing national and international partnerships, GH will provide open-access data and over time establish long term monitoring schemes of some of Malta’s most threatened flora and fauna.
Communicating research to different audiences is vital to promote environmental awareness and improve the condition of the Maltese landscape. Adding an artistic element to its science communication efforts is one of GH’s primary goals.
GH believes that open access research and effective science communication will promote policy reform in favour of sustainable living and environmental protection. To achieve this, GH constantly seeks creative and innovative approaches in its work and actively pursues the expansion and diversification of its professional network.
