The Missionary Movement “Jesus in Thy Neighbour” is an (NGO VO/0140) that was founded in Gozo by Monsignor George Grima I.D. 85650 G. At the time it’s foundation was approved by the Bishop of Gozo, Monsignor Nikol Cauchi, on 30th October 1992. The aim of the movement was always to give a better life to so many children living on the streets of Brazil, Ethiopia and Kenya.
The aim of the Missionary Movement is to give FOOD, EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE to CHILDREN UNDER TWELVE YEARS.
Care given to CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS WHO LIVE IN OUR HOMES AND ARE GIVEN DIGNITY
Care is also given to LEPERS AND ELEPHANTIASIS VICTIMS. THE MISSIONARY MOVEMENT SUPPORT THEM WITH FOOD, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND CARE HEALTH.
Care is being given by installing BORE HOLES IN MANY REMOTE VILLAGES IN AFRICA.
Care is being given to MANY VULNERABLE FAMILIES
The Missionary Movement has: 10 homes in Brazil, 227 homes in Ethiopia and 28 homes in Kenya.
Currently other 10 new Kindergarten and a big Complex for disabled children are under construction and 1 borehole and 30 Water Roto Tanks with a capacity of 10,000 litres of water all this in Ethiopia.
In Kenya a big Secondary School for disabled children and a Kindergarten is also under construction.
This year we are celebrating 30 years since its foundation On 3rd December in 1987 the “Missionary Movement “Jesus in thy Neighbour”, was founded .Now 30 years later, the vision of the Missionary Movement ‘Jesus in Thy Neighbour’ remains the same as it was in the beginning, that is to provide: – FOOD to the hungry; – WATER to the thirsty; – MEDICINE to the sick; – EDUCATION for all; – SHELTER to the homeless.
