To reduce poverty and promote child development through the provision of a crisis residential care facility for vulnerable children in Madagascar’s northern region, DIANA. The Arnaud Guesry Foundation works in partnership with the Malagasy Ministry of Family and Population, the Children’s Courts and the Police of Minors and Children, providing a safe, secure placement for children who are abandoned, orphaned or removed from custody due to abuse, malnutrition, exploitation or neglect. The Arnaud Guesry Foundation provides specialist psycho-social support, medical care and education services to children who, for reasons of mental or physical health and personal safety, cannot be adopted or integrated into the local foster system. Care is provided until family reunification, recovery or rehabilitation can see the children move to more permanent, family-based, solutions. By providing a loving home with all the needs of a child we hope to raise healthy and productive members of the community who will thereafter contribute to their communities and reduce poverty through empowerment.
