Overview of the importance of risk management for VOs
Understanding Risks in VOs
Types of risks (financial, operational, reputational, legal, etc.)
Brainstorming session: Identifying potential risks specific to each organization
Tools and techniques for systematic risk identification (SWOT analysis, risk registers, etc.)
Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methods
Risk matrix: Assigning severity levels to identified risks
Assessing and scoring specific risks
Developing risk mitigation plans
Risk transfer, acceptance, avoidance, and reduction strategies
Integrating risk management into organizational culture
Roles and responsibilities of staff and board members
Communication strategies for risk awareness
Drafting an initial risk management plan

Deadline to submit your registration is 25th January 2024 – noon.
Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers. Each training session will have an intake of a maximum of 40 participants, hence we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure your spot.
