Capacity Building – Strategic Planning

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector will be hosting a training session dedicated to Strategic Planning. This session will be delivered by the MCVS CEO, Mauro Pace Parascandalo. Please find more details regarding the training below: 

Content: 

  • Describe the main problems that are faced by an organisation;
  • Explain the various approaches to organisational development planning;
  • Explain the various approaches to managing strategy;
  • Apply a deeper understanding of strategic development plans;
  • Discuss objectively the risks, benefits and costs that accompany the implementation of the new strategy including managing conflict in a team;
  • Define approaches to managing the identified risks;
  • Analyse the potential impacts (both positive and negative) that will result from implementing the new strategy;
  • Design policies, systems and processes to successfully implement the emergent strategic plans;
  • Cover the key steps in change management

Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers. Each training session will have an intake of a maximum of 20 participants, hence we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure your spot.
