The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector aims to support local voluntary organisations working across every aspect of society through networking, training, capacity building, funding initiatives, and awareness raising. Indeed, the Council seeks to give a stronger and more unified voice to voluntary organisations in Malta and Gozo with the public, government and business stakeholders. It also functions in a supporting role to the Commissioner of the Voluntary Organisations and the work of his team in the sector.
The Council will continue working towards setting up more facilities for the voluntary organisations to be used as hub and resource centres, as well as continuing to provide training and mentoring for VO volunteers and administrators to support the development of their organisations.
The Council encourages all members of the public to find out more about the work of voluntary organisations in Malta and support their initiatives. For more information visit www.maltacvs.org and our Facebook page malta council for the voluntary sector.
