Il-Kunsill Malti għas-Settur tal-Volontarjat (MCVS) għadu kif ħabbar il-ftuħ tat-Training Initiatives Scheme (TIS), li hija skema li biha membri ta’ għaqdiet volontarji jistgħu jiksbu sapport finanzjarju fit-taħriġ tagħhom. L-iskema fiha żewġ programmi separati, wieħed għal individwi membri ta’ għaqdiet volontarji (VOs) sabiex jattendu taħriġ, u l-ieħor fuq livell organizzattiv għall-għaqdiet. It-taħriġ jista’ jkun kemm lokali jew anki barra minn xtutna fil-każ ta’ individwi, filwaqt li l-attendenza tista’ tkun kemm fiżika jew anki onlajn. Is-suġġett tat-taħriġ għandu jkun jew relatat speċifikament max-xogħol tal-VO jew inkella mal-volontarjat b’mod ġenerali.
Is-Sur Mauro Pace Parascandalo, Kap Eżekuttiv tal-Kunsill, qal li “waħda mill-prijoritajiet prinċipali tal-MCVS hija li jiġi pprovdut sapport lis-settur tal-volontarjat billi jiġi inkoraġġit u jkollhom opportunitajiet għal taħriġ. Dan għandu jkompli jgħin sabiex l-għaqdiet volontarji, li tant jagħmlu xogħol siewi fis-soċjetà tagħna, jissaħħu fl-abbiltajiet u jibqgħu aġġornati fil-ħiliet li għandhom bżonn f’dinja dejjem tinbidel.”
Din l-iskema hija eliġibbli għall-għaqdiet irreġistrati bħala VO mal-Kumissarju tal-Għaqdiet Volontarji u għall-membri attivi tagħhom. L-applikazzjonijiet jagħlqu l-Ġimgħa 24 ta’ Marzu 2023.

Press Statement: Applications open for scheme that supports training of voluntary organisations members
The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) has just announced the opening of the Training Initiatives Scheme (TIS), which is a scheme by which members of voluntary organizations can obtain financial support for their training. The scheme contains two separate programmes, one for individuals who are members of Voluntary Organisations (VOs) to attend training, and the other at an organisational level for VOs. Eligible training can be either local or overseas in the case of individuals, while attendance can be either physical or online. All training must be either related specifically to the work of the VO in which one is active or related to volunteering in general.
Mr. Mauro Pace Parascandalo, Chief Executive of the Council, stated that “one of the main priorities of the MCVS is to support the voluntary sector by encouraging and providing opportunities for training. This should continue to help voluntary organisations, which do so much valuable work in our society, to strengthen their capability and stay up to date in the skills they need in an ever-changing world.”
This scheme is eligible for organisations registered as VO with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations and their active members. Applications close on Friday 24 March 2023.
