National Conference on Volunteering – ‘Volunteering: Taking the Next Step’

 

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector organized its Annual National Conference on Volunteering entitled ‘Volunteering: Taking the Next Step‘ on Saturday the 12th October 2019. The Conference, which was well attended, commenced by a welcome speech from Dr. Noel Camilleri, Chairperson MCVS.  The three plenary sessions were delivered by Mr. Roderick Agius – Governance in Voluntary Organisations, Mr. John Mallia – Making the Wheel Turn, and Fr. Antoine Farrugia sdb- Volunteering, Working with Minors… Integrational Approach. The presentations of these three plenary sessions can be found below.

Following each plenary session working groups, made up of the various sectoral groups, discussed further these issues and how they applied to their particular sectoral reality. These workshops were moderated by various moderators namely Mr. Andrew Azzopardi, Mr. Jes Saliba, Ms Celine Talbot, Mr. Robert Farrugia, Mr. Edward Gruppetta and Mr. Mauro Pace Parascandalo.

The new online booking system for the use of the Volunteer Centres was also lauched.
