In an endeavour to support the voluntary sector, MCVS has embarked on an initiative to promote the culture of volunteering amongst children and adolescents. We believe that by working to instil the value of volunteering from a young age, we can ensure the sustainability and growth of the voluntary sector in the years to come and contribute to the holistic growth of school students. During the past couple of weeks we have in fact already gotten in touch with schools who have expressed their enthusiasm to participate in such an initiative.

In this regard, we are currently reaching out to established organisations who could potentially offer school students hands-on participation in volunteering in order to gauge interest and availability. Since this initiative will be carried out in collaboration with schools, the students will be participating at your premises during school hours and will always be accompanied by school staff. Depending on the level of engagement each respective school will be ready to commit to, the participation of your voluntary organisation will hopefully be the start of an ongoing collaboration, especially if schools include volunteering as an integral part of their curriculum.
