The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector has launched its first fund raising portal – SimplyGiving. This portal comes at the opportune time where Voluntary Organisations need all the help they can get post Covid-19 reality which effected their fund raising opportunities. SimplyGiving was launched  on the 4th November 2022 at the Valletta Creativity Cluster in the presence of the Hon. Julia Farrugia Portelli, Minister for Inclusion, Voluntary Organisations and Civil Rights. The event was addressed by the Hon. Julia Farrugia Portelli and Mr. Robert Farrugia, Deputy Chairperson MCVS. Mr. Mauro Pace Parascandalo, CEO MCVS, gave a brief introduction on the fund raising portal.

The main aim of SimplyGiving is to provide a fund raising opportunity to Voluntary Organisations in a secure and transparent environment, especially those VOs who do not have the technical ability to undertake such an online initiative themselves. SimplyGiving is an accountable fund-raising platform through which funds can be collected towards a specific cause or project, managed by a registered Voluntary Organisation.
